What's new in Ebanist: from site survey to A3 workshop sheets.

Versions 4.57 to 4.64 add a survey that checks its own closing, a better 3D room, an A3 fabrication sheet for every part, a choice of joints from minifix to Domino, drawer-runner drilling from the manufacturers' sheets, and A3 elevations and sections.

A real run through the app, no mock-ups. The captions follow the language of this page.

01

3D that shows what is wrong

Switch on Dimensions and the 3D model shows the overall size and the clear height between shelves. The Consistency button marks, on the model itself, any part whose dimensions do not add up, instead of listing them somewhere else.

02

Cut plans that save usable leftovers, edge banding you can see

The cutting plan marks the leftovers worth keeping so you can reuse them on the next job, and the cut list shows with a small icon which edges are banded.

03

A site survey that checks itself

Enter wall lengths and angles: Ebanist tells you whether the room closes and, if it does not, which wall or angle to measure again. Measure a diagonal to find the wrong wall, import the outline from a DXF file and attach photos to a point of the plan.

04

The room in real 3D

The room view now uses the same WebGL renderer as the unit: shadows, a tiled floor on the real outline of the walls, and the walls facing you fade out so you can see inside.

05

An A3 fabrication sheet for every part

Title block, the part drawn to scale, and every hole and slot dimensioned from the edge to its axis. Equal steps, such as the 32 mm system, collapse into “n×32”; each operation has a letter tied to a table, and dense areas get enlarged details.

06

Choose how the parts are joined

Per unit: minifix, confirmat screws, dowels, Lamello biscuits, Festool Domino or Lamello Clamex P-14. The drilling and the routed slots follow your choice, and so does the assembly step.

07

Drawer runners drilled where the manufacturer says

Fixing positions for Blum MOVENTO 760H and TANDEM plus 563H follow the nominal length, taken from Blum's own sheets.

08

A3 elevations and sections

Front elevation, vertical section A–A and plan C–C on one A3 sheet, with hatching by material, chained dimensions and the cutting planes marked on the elevation.

09

An A3 assembly sheet per unit

An exploded view with the parts numbered as in the parts list, the parts list by position, the hardware with codes and the assembly sequence, on one A3 sheet per unit.

10

A complete technical dossier, ready to print

A cover with contents and a reading guide, a client presentation with large 3D renders, materials and a signature line, and a technical report built from your project's data. One button prints the set on A3, optionally with the fabrication sheet of every part.
